Long Chen stared at the unconscious Ning Haoran, his gaze sharp. He wanted to kill him. Despite that, Long Chen couldn't do so. Although he had obtained an extraordinary power by accident, all his prior received education and learned values made him not a murderer. Besides, death was not the only way to make someone suffer. Making him regret being alive would be a better punishment.
After some thought, Long Chen used the secret technique in the Celestial Doctor's Inheritance to make Ning Haoran lose his fertility. At the same time, he also made Ning Haoran lose the ability to move one of his legs.
After doing all this, Long Chen went the opposite way and walked out of the KTV.
At the entrance, Li Yuechan had already stopped a cab. When she saw Long Chen walking out, she hurried over to help him walk.
The driver noticed how blood was all over Long Chen. Though he was afraid, he didn't bail. Long Chen guessed that Li Yuechan must have pulled out a stack of cash.
Back to the mansion, when Han Min and the others saw how bloodstained Long Chen was, they all stood up in shock.
"What happened?" Li Shiqi asked in a deep voice.
"Dad, Ning Haoran had kidnapped me to take his revenge on Long Chen. That animal even tried to assault me. I was lucky that Long Chen arrived in time to save me. That's why he got injured," Li Yuechan explained.
"That's impossible, Sis. Don't talk nonsense. Haoran's not that kind of person," Li Yuexin immediately retorted.
"That's right. Ning Haoran would never do that. Yuechan, Long Chen must have done something shady outside and got slashed. You don't have to cover for him. Get him out of here to the hospital. Don't bring this bloody mess back home. What an eyesore, bringing bad luck to the family," Han Min said with disdain.
"Mom, I'm not lying. It's true. Long Chen did..."
"Okay, okay. You don't have to explain it. Quickly, take Long Chen to the hospital. Don't let him wander around like this at home. It brings us bad luck," Han Min urged.
"Mom, he can't go to the hospital. Since you don't trust me, you shouldn't have to worry about us anymore. Also, from now on, he is my real husband." Li Yuechan helped Long Chen up the stairs.
Warmth welled inside Long Chen. For these words, it was worth it though he was hurt badly.
Li Shiqi and the others were stunned. It was out of his expectations that Li Yuechan would sincerely acknowledge Long Chen as her husband.
Han Min panicked as she witnessed Li Yuechan helping Long Chen to the second floor. "What do we do?"
"How would I know?" Li Shiqi's brows had knitted tightly together. He could tell things weren't going the way they wanted.
"Li Shiqi, I don't care what you do. You have to look for a way to separate them. Yuechan can't waste any more time on Long Chen. If she bears his child or something like that, it'll cause a lot of trouble in the future." Han Min's expression was stern.
"Well, there's a way. But I have my concerns," Li Shiqi said with a sigh.

"I'm worried that the Old Master will wake up out of nowhere," Li Shiqi said in a deep voice. "The Old Master has tried his best to get this marriage together. If I force them to get a divorce, the Old Master will come for my head for sure."
"The Old Master has been in a coma for almost a year. He's too old to be waking up. Even if he does, what can he do? You coward, hurry up and tell me. What's the solution?" Han Min urged.
"Mom, you guys talk. I'll go and look for Ning Haoran. I can't get through to him," Li Yuexin said nervously.
"Go, then. Be careful on the road. Call me if you need anything," Han Min said.
"Okay." Li Yuexin hurried out.
On the other hand, Han Min continued to discuss the countermeasures with Li Shiqi.
On the second floor, Long Chen took off his bloody clothes with the help of Li Yuechan. There were many wounds on his body, and they looked frightening.
Tears welled up in Li Yuechan's eyes. He had suffered these injuries because of her.
"I-I'll get you a doctor to treat your wounds. Hold on, okay?" Li Yuechan spoke in a trembling voice.
"No need. It's all superficial wounds," Long Chen said. "I'm in good health, so I'll recover quickly. Trust me."
"No, you have to listen to me this time," Li Yuechan said sternly.
"Alright. Go then," Long Chen said with a faint smile.
"Okay. Be good and wait for me to come back." Li Yuechan stormed out the door.
After she had left, Long Chen immediately sat down cross-legged, cleared his mind, and felt the flow in his body. He found that the mysterious energy in his body was circulating rapidly. Under its cleansing, one of his wounds quickly formed a scab.
It made Long Chen overjoyed for his ability to recover. When Li Yuechan returned with the doctor, all of Long Chen's wounds had already formed scabs. Some of them had even started to fall off.
"Please help him, Doctor." Li Yuechan told the doctor.
"Alright, alright. Don't worry, young lady. Wait outside," the doctor said. He was worried that Li Yuechan's anxiety would disrupt his performance.
"If you need anything, just let me know. I'll be right outside," Li Yuechan reminded.
"Okay." The doctor closed the door. However, when the doctor examined Long Chen's wound, he was dumbfounded.
The doctor questioned Long Chen, "Are you two messing with me? Your wounds have already formed scabs and are even about to fall off. You're healthy, so why did you call me over? Even a fool would have known these injuries were weeks old."
"Doctor, I'm sorry. Just bandage them for me, and don't say anything after you leave. Take the consultation fee you've agreed on and do me a favor," Long Chen requested.
"Hmm... Alright then." No one could resist the power of money, and this doctor was no exception.
Not long after, the doctor walked out of the room. He informed Li Yuechan that everything had been taken care of and there were no acute issues. She heaved a sigh of relief and thanked him all over. After the doctor had left, she reentered the room and closed the door. Seeing that Long Chen was still sitting there, she hurriedly said, "Lie down and rest for now."
"I don't want to rest."
"Be good and lie down."
"Alright." Long Chen got up as he automatically walked to his floor mattress.
It took Li Yuechan a second before she reacted, her heart skipping a beat. They had been married for more than a year, but Long Chen had been sleeping on the floor. Even now that he was injured, he still subconsciously went to his mattress. It had already become a habit.
Li Yuechan couldn't help but feel guilty when she thought about how this man had sacrificed his life to save her and how she had treated him coldly for the past year. "Y-you don't need to sleep on the floor anymore. It's more comfortable to sleep on the bed," she said softly.
"For real, honey?" Long Chen's eyes lit up.
"Silly you. Of course, it's real. You've suffered a lot over the past year. I'll slowly make it up to you in the future, as long as you're still willing to be my husband." Li Yuechan mustered up her courage and revealed her true feelings.
"So, other than sleeping, can we do anything else?" Long Chen asked.
"You..." Li Yuechan's face instantly flooded red. "You jerk. You're already injured, and now you're thinking about nonsense. Do you want your teeth to get kicked in?"
