Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 11 Ch: 11

๏ปฟ"Vincent, time to wake up," Nathan whispered, giving Vincent's shoulder a gentle nudge.

Blinking slowly, Vincent opened his eyes and stretched out his weary limbs before responding, his curiosity piqued.

"Didn't I have a few more days to go?" Vincent asked, his voice tinged with hope.

"The doctor says you're healing faster than they thought, so you can get out of here!" Nathan beamed, his enthusiasm infectious.

"That's awesome!" Vincent exclaimed, feeling a surge of joy and newfound energy upon hearing the good news.

"Let's get out of here buddy !" Nathan chuckled.

Nathan, grinning broadly, signaled a compassionate nurse to help them prepare for their departure from the hospital. Now that Vincent could walk again, he no longer needed a wheelchair, a fact that filled him with relief and gratitude.

"Doc mentioned your body heals fast. What, did a vampire bite you in those ruins or something?" Nathan joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Well, I don't see myself getting any more attractive, so I doubt it," Vincent shot back, a sarcastic grin on his face.

"You got that right," Nathan agreed, playfully patting Vincent's shoulder as they shared a warm, brotherly moment.

In the parking lot, they were met by a sleek black SUV. Nathan's driver and bodyguards stood by, ready for their arrival.

"Let's head to my place first," Nathan instructed.

As they cruised through the bustling streets of New York, Vincent couldn't help but feel a surge of energy coursing through his veins. The vibrant cityscape brought him back to life, and he was grateful to have survived his recent ordeal.

In the back of his mind, Vincent remained curious about the recurring dreams that haunted him. Yet for now, he chose to focus on the present, allowing himself to find solace and relaxation in the company of his friend and the familiar surroundings of the city he called home.

"When are we heading to your ranch in Australia?" Vincent inquired, looking forward to the change of scenery.

"Oh, in three days. But first, I need to attend a birthday party. Want to join me?" Nathan asked, an inviting smile on his face.

"Sure, I'm feeling better, and it'll be nice to talk to other people. I'm getting tired of just talking to you," Vincent joked, a playful grin spreading across his face.

"Ouch, that's a bit harsh, don't you think? I thought you loved chatting with me, your best buddy?" Nathan feigned hurt, raising his eyebrows in mock surprise.

"Nah, I just don't have much of a choice," Vincent quipped, both friends sharing a laugh over their lighthearted banter.

As they continued to chat and laugh in the car, time seemed to fly by, and before they knew it, they were approaching Nathan's penthouse at Central Park Tower.

It was the most luxurious and expensive penthouse in the city, with a staggering price tag of 250 million USDโ€”a lavish gift from his father on his birthday.

Vincent couldn't help but gaze in awe at the towering structure, even though he had seen it numerous times before. Central Park Tower stood as a testament to architectural ingenuity, stretching skyward with its sleek, modern design. The glass facade shimmered in the sunlight, reflecting the vibrant hues of the city around it. At 1,550 feet tall, it held the distinction of being the tallest residential building in the world, commanding unobstructed views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.

Its grandeur was undeniable, and each time Vincent laid eyes on it, he was reminded of the immense privilege and luxury it represented.

The residents of Central Park Tower represented the upper echelons of society, an exclusive enclave of the wealthiest and most influential individuals. Each person who called the tower home was part of a select few, considered elite within their respective fields and social circles.

These affluent residents enjoyed unparalleled luxury, breathtaking views, and first-class amenities within the tower, all while being surrounded by others who shared their social standing and discerning tastes. In this prestigious environment, they experienced a unique and privileged lifestyle that few could ever imagine.

The SUV approached the tower's entrance, smoothly navigating through the stringent security measures before being granted access to the premises. Once inside, the vehicle made its way directly to the parking lot, heading toward Nathan's designated parking spot.

Nathan's personal garage was a testament to his status and wealth within the building. The well-secured space was reserved exclusively for his use, ensuring that his vehicle remained safe and accessible at all times. As the SUV pulled into the garage, Vincent couldn't help but appreciate the added convenience and privacy that came with such an exclusive amenity.

As Vincent glanced around, he couldn't help but notice the impressive lineup of sports cars that Nathan had amassed. These high-performance machines were like prized toys for Nathan, each one meticulously maintained and carefully chosen for its design and capabilities.

Together, the collection represented a staggering sum of more than 10 million USD. The sight of these luxurious vehicles, arranged in perfect harmony, only served to emphasize the opulence and extravagance of Nathan's lifestyle.

"You've got all these cars, but you don't even drive them," Vincent remarked, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I do drive them... sometimes," Nathan replied with an awkward smile, acknowledging the irony of his extensive collection and his infrequent use of the vehicles.

Nathan's true motivation for acquiring such an impressive array of cars was more about their aesthetic appeal and the statement they made than any real passion for driving.

In reality, he was too lazy to drive them regularly and simply enjoyed owning vehicles that looked cool and exuded an aura of prestige and luxury. The collection served as a status symbol, showcasing Nathan's wealth and refined taste to anyone who set foot in his personal garage.

"What car should we take to the party?" Nathan asked Vincent, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"You're letting me choose?" Vincent questioned, surprised by the offer.

"Yeah, we can roll up to the party in two separate cars," Nathan chuckled, clearly enjoying the idea.

Under normal circumstances, Vincent would have rejected such a flashy proposition. However, his near-death experience changed him in subtle ways. He found himself drawn to superficial things that never held any appeal to him before.

It was as if something inside him refused to appear weak or vulnerable, and embracing these outward displays of luxury and power became a means of asserting his newfound resilience.

He couldn't help but wonder if his recurring dream played a role in this shift in his mindset. Though he couldn't pinpoint exactly how the dream connected to these newfound desires, he was acutely aware that it was affecting him in one way or another. As he continued to grapple with these internal changes, he tried to navigate his life with an open mind, embracing the new experiences and emotions that came his way.
