Chapter 1142: Pinnacle of the Heavenly Pearl Stage

Resonant power and corruption raged wildly in the sky as the fierce battle broke out outside the pool of blood. One after another, majestic Heavenly Resonance Diagrams extended across the sky, absorbing the worldly natural energy and transforming it into beams of resonant power that rained back down like divine judgment. Feng Lingyuan, Wang Kong, Yue Zhiyu, Duan Mu and Wei Chonglou were the main force from the two Ancient Colleges. If not for the help of Zong Sha and the others, she would have been ambushed by the Others multiple times.

This was a truly risky mission. Heavenly Pearls like them could only hope to keep themselves safe.

It was like the sound of metal being struck. Zong Sha took a few steps back, trembling from the impact. The Evil Spirit was not any weaker compared to him. In fact, cracks had appeared in their line of defense as soon as he was pushed back. The other Evil Spirit charged forward in a strange and unusual pattern. A sharp ring echoed in the air. Its razor sharp claws surrounded with eerie cold corruption slashed directly at Jiang Wanyu behind him.

Zong Sha's face changed immediately. He tried to rush back to her aid but the Evil Spirit in front of him had dashed forward with another strike. Corruption surged and he was forced back into self defense.

Lu Jinci and Deng Zhu were slightly stronger but they were still at the seven-pearl stage. Their resonant power surged up and they confronted the incoming Evil Spirit.

As the two sides clashed, the two of them were knocked back as fresh blood spewed out of their mouths. They were sent flying back directly, rolling on the ground almost defeated.

The corruption continued to swamp towards them. Countless strange whispers echoed in their minds as their gazes lost focus.

Seeing this, Jiang Wanyu gritted her teeth. Five radiant heavenly pearls materialized behind her, with a slight crack appearing on one of it.

She acted decisively. She knew that the gap in strength between her and the Evil Spirit was too great. As such, she had decided to sacrifice one of her Heavenly Pearl to buy some time for her comrades.

Just as she made her decision, a domineering stream of blade energy flew across the void. A draconic roar echoed in the air as the blade energy sliced through the thick layers of corruption and directly decapitated the Evil Spirit.

Nonetheless, the headless Evil Spirit continued to charge forward. Resonant power surged up and a flash of light flew out of Jiang Wanyu's blade. The void was torn open and a fire dragon roared to life.

The fire dragon bared its fangs and claws and directly clashed against the decapitated Evil Spirit. As it had been severely injured, its aura of corruption had weakened. The fire dragon was able to penetrate and incinerate it into nothingness.

Jiang Wanyu heaved a sigh of relief. She turned her head to see where the blade energy had come from. On the spot, it was Li Luo with his Dragon Elephant Blade. He stepped forward to confront the incoming Evil Spirit.

In his Thunder Dragon resonant palace, lightning clouds filled the air. Deafening thunders boomed and within the clouds, a majestic dragon slowly flew by with lightning sparkling off its scales.

Even the mysterious Auric Halo in his body had begun to release faint hints of energy.
